Junior Sluggers is a really fun, laid-back experience to get pre-schoolers started out in baseball.  

When:  Program runs for four Saturdays in April / May

Where: Smithton Park, Fields 3 and 4

Start time: 9:00 am, arrive by 8:45 - 8:50 to play catch and warm up so we can start right at 9:00.

 

Ends by: 10:00 - 10:15

 

Schedule: For the first half of each session we'll do stations with group hitting, fielding and base running drills.  Second half of the session we'll split into teams and play a scrimmage game.

 

Equipment: SAA provides the balls, bats and tees so here's all your player will need:

 

1) A t-ball-size glove with your slugger's name on it

2) A water bottle

3) Baseball cleats if you want, but they are not a necessity 

Cost:  $50 per player, with a $15 discount for families with 2 players

Volunteers: We have older players volunteering their time to help. Parents are also welcome to volunteer or  sit back and watch your little ones learn and have fun!
